Despite a challenging 2024, a deep affirmation of our skill, power, and beauty emerged.
Last year, we welcomed fifteen new institutional members, attesting to the value of our network in a time when queer and trans rights are under constant assault. We also released our new strategic plan, introducing a bold new vision and mission for our work. Throughout the recap report, we reflect on the four strategic directions of our strategic plan and how we’ve been implementing them in each of our programs and initiatives. |

MacArthur Foundation recently announced that it is planning to increase giving for two years in response to the crisis prompted by the current administration's freeze on federal funding. President John Palfrey notes, “Philanthropy should act in a different way than we have in the past, which is historically, we’ve simply given out more money when the stock market has gone up and we’ve given out less money when the stock market has gone down.”
We’re proud to have the MacArthur Foundation as our oldest member. Read their recent member spotlight to learn more about how they support the LGBTQ community. |

| Immigrant Justice NOW: Funding Immigrant Justice in a Time of Attack
We are witnessing brutal and escalating attacks against immigrant communities. In the past few weeks, we have seen established safeguards and legal rights completely disregarded to detain, harass, and deport people - both immigrants and U.S-born citizens alike. We have even witnessed the reopening or creation of detention camps domestically and internationally. Join this networking session to be in conversation with other funders about how philanthropy can show up in this moment to support immigrant justice.
This space will be held by Jonathan Jayes-Green and Aldita Gallardo |
