| What Guides the League's Advocacy?
The LWVWA is an action group, however, we only take action on issues which have been extensively studied and on which the members agree. When the League has a position on any issue, separate material is published to promote the League's stand. This not funded by the Education Fund to ensure the distinction between League action and Voter Services information. |

The League of Women Voters of Washington joined nine other western state Leagues to request that LWVUS send the attached letter to Congress. Public lands are an important component of our national heritage and protecting them is important. Those of us who live in the western part of the country where most public lands are located know this well. New Mexico took the lead in drafting a letter for LWVUS to send to Congress. Joining in the request to LWVUS: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Missouri, North Dakota. South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. Many thanks to all!
